Max Blumenthal exonerates the IDF
Kudos to HonestReporting for giving attention to this video.
Imagine my surprise when the closing credits gave credit to non-other than Max Blumenthal. While I disagree with HonestReporting claim that the kids in this footage are more annoying than the vuvuzela, it is clearly not the “violent incursion” Max Blumenthal believe it to be. What we see here are far left activist inciting Palestinian children to harass Israeli soldiers on patrol in the village of Nabi Saleh. The confidence those children show in the presence of the soldiers not only shows a lack of fear of the IDF soldiers but a lack of knowledge of that fear. This is not IDF Vs. children the title he gave claim this scene to be, but IDF soldiers arresting far left provocateurs.
The restrain and discipline of these soldiers is something to be proud of. Maxi B is slipping, but true to his own selective self he did keep the subtitles out, so people won’t know that the cries the children made “khalas israil” means “finish off Israel.”

Palestinian incitement, the getaway excuse
The left in Israel, not necessarily the anti Zionists ones, has a holy then god truth that says, “we are no different.” Facts and evidences are not important, if the Palestinians own words and actions testify to their guilt, they’ll argue that Israel is no different, and their own self-confirming rhetoric will be their confirmation.

The Economist and far left wishful thinking
For years the extreme left in Israel and elsewhere have been desperate, longing to actually see moral Palestinian fighters, preferably nonviolent ones. And when supporting Palestinians became trendy, so did the mainstream left, the longer the wait – the bigger the desperation. This piece in the Economist from April 15 is a good example:

The debate haven’t intensified but they already see nonviolant resistance, few things can be more desperate than this.
The piece is building its hopes on two unrelated stories. A palestinian joke about their terrorists misfiring rockets and killing their own, something, which tragically is not unusual; and a handful of supposedly peaceful demonstrations against Israel along the border between the Gaza Strip and Israel. What the author does not understand is that it is safer to do nonviolant demonstrations near israeli army positions then inside Gaza city, and these demonstratores are doing what hamas allows them to do. And it does not allow them to demonstrate against Hamas, sidelining their protest into coffee shop talks, but even there they do not make a stand, so where is the alternative to Hamas?
